description	广西地质学会（Geological Society of Guangxi,GSG）是广西地质工作者和相关单位自愿组成的学术性社会团体，是广西区科协的团体会员和中国地质学会的地方组织。广西地质学会成立于1964年1月，是集学术交流、科技咨询、科学普及、国际交流及人才培养于一体的省级学术团体，属自治区科协领导，中国地质学会指导，现挂靠广西国土资源厅、广西地质矿产勘查开发局。自成立之始，广西地质学会始终坚持民主办会，建立健全学会组织机制，团结广大地质科技工作者，会员从成立之初的234名发展到最多时近3000名。
