description	中国科学院青藏高原研究所（以下简称“青藏高原所”）于2003年成立，是中科院党组根据国家经济社会发展重大战略需求和国际科学前沿发展趋势，在知识创新工程科技布局和组织结构调整中成立的研究所之一。研究所实行北京部、拉萨部和昆明部的“一所三部”运行模式，还在加德满都、伊朗、塔吉克建有海外科学中心。在首任所长姚檀栋院士的领导下，青藏高原所坚持“高水平、国际化、重服务”的建所理念，励精图治、艰苦创业，取得了一系列重要成果和重大突破，推动我国青藏高原研究事业进入了国际第一方阵。
